Eva Garcia, 78, was born on July 4, 1937 in Hildago, Mexico. She died on June 4, 2016 at her home in Evanston. She was preceded in death by a brother, Adam Gutierrez.
Eva is survived by her two children Georgina May and George Garcia, both of Southern California.
Eva first came to Evanston in 1964. She spent most of her life in California but moved to Evanston when her brother died in 2003. She loved the peace and tranquility here, and enjoyed the birds, deer and flowers in her yard.
Eva cherished time with friends and their children. She was like a grandmother to many. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and watching Soap Operas. Eva was a spirited and loving person. She will be missed.
Eva chose cremation and no memorial service.
