In the morning of June 15, 2024 our loving father, grandfather, brother, dedicated husband and honorable Air Force veteran passed away peacefully at the Spring Gardens in Heber. Born on May 16, 1942 in Spokane, WA to Mary Alice Jensen and Martin Joseph Kofmehl II.

Mary Alice moved with her boys, Martin and Gary, to St. Ignatius, MT to be closer to her family. Martin grew up in the beautiful Mission Mountains that he loved and enjoyed his entire life. He graduated from the St. Ignatius high school, and then attended Brigham Young University. After a year of university, he enlisted in the US Air Force and was selected to study Russian at Syracuse University. He served in Germany flying over the Black Sea in a C-130 as a Russian linguist translating intelligence communications. Martin had a gift for learning languages and loved serving his country.

After four years in the Air Force, Martin was called to serve a 30-month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Finland Helsinki Mission. After completing his mission, Martin returned to Brigham Young University to finish his undergraduate studies and graduated summa cum laude of his MBA class.

Martin often shared that his career was molded by working side by side with Lee Iacocca at Ford Motor Company. Later Martin went on to become a successful entrepreneur and business owner.

Martin had a passion for doing genealogy for both his Kofmehl and Brooks families, as well as studying the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Martin is survived by his wife Jeanette. Six children: Lisa (Jeff), Angela, Amanda (Chris), Andrew (Mandy), Elizabeth and Rachel. Brothers Gary (Kate), Ronnie (deceased), Kevin (Natalie), and Sister Debbie (Darrin). 13 grandchildren, one great-grandson and numerous nieces & nephews.
